Well that was fast and now its official. Guitar Hero Aerosmith is coming sooner than we may have expected, yes, like the cover says you'll be "Walking this Way" in June 2008. In fact, you can preorder it today from the links below!

New Downloadable Song ( Aerosmith - Dream On ):

As if that wasn't enough Activision is also celebrating this announcement with a free download of one of Aerosmiths greatest hits "Dream On". You can get the song from Febuary 16-18th on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 and PSN Store for the PS3 so hurry! You can find more info at Guitarhero.com.

Game Development:

Once again the development team has been slightly shifted for the making of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

Neversoft will develop the Xbox 360 and PS3 version.

Vicarious Visions will develop the Wii version.

And Budcat is develiping the PlayStation 2 version.

What do you think about so many different developers working on the games for the seperate systems, do you think there will be any drastic differences between the games on each of the systems?

I was disappointed they re-recorded this since part of what I liked about the original was that it sounded nothing like Steven Tyler singing. However, the chart is fun, if not too easy, and Neversoft didn't abuse 3-note chords either.
