White House Hints at More Economic Speeches, Proposals Ahead

In what could be a way of lowering expectations for next Thursday's big economic speech, aides to President Obama are privately spreading word that he will not present his entire jobs plan in his address to a Joint Session of Congress. Aides say Thursday's speech will be part of a bigger plan the White House will roll out throughout the fall with the president hitting the road for speeches and town hall appearances. Aides have already confirmed that Obama will be traveling to California, Colorado, and Washington state for one three-day swing later this month that will include economic events...

Renowned Jazz Singer Anita O'Day Dies

Anita O'Day, whose sassy renditions of "Honeysuckle Rose," "Sweet Georgia Brown" and other song standards that made her one of the most respected jazz vocalists of the 1940s and '50s, has died. MTV 'SNOOP' POOP

Media watchdogs are barking over an MTV cartoon that portrays a Snoop Dogg-like character leading two women around on leashes - before scooping up their poop. The new MTV2 animated series "Where My Dogs At?" satirizes such Hollywood stars as Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. The half-hour episode, "Woofie Loves Snoop," debuted last month - and until it was removed yesterday, the offending clip was just a click away on MTV.com. "Seinfeld"'s Jason Alexander voices Snoopathon Esquire III, who struts out of his...

But even after 50 years of gyrating hips, not everyone agrees...
